Called Fresnel 500 in the professional world, the real name of our model is the BAMBINO 500 from the Italian brand QuartzColor, real Made in Italy ! It has a hammered lens, called a Fresnel lens (named after its inventor), which makes the light it emits much more directive. Thus, this helps to produce a precise and directional beam that will create sharp and unique shadow contours (unlike multiple shadows of mandarins) and keep more lighting power without the beam scattering and scattering quickly.

It is therefore easy to work with the light with this orientable projector, its shutters making it possible to cut the light even more easily and its lens which can make it illuminate a single precise point or create a clear cut on a character or a setting.

The 500 indicates the power of the projector: 500W. It is a good intermediate power between the large imposing sources like the 2kW or the 1kW but still powerful compared to the small sources like the 150W or the 300W.
This projector therefore remains small and easily transportable (it weighs 3kg) while remaining powerful enough to provide good lighting. It is equipped with a tungsten bulb thus creating a light with a color temperature of 3200K. Like all projectors with a tungsten bulb, this projector heats up quickly and it is best to put on thick gloves when handling it after it has been on for a while.
