This zoom lens will be perfect for experienced operators who would be demanding for an aesthetic and an optimal light treatment quality. Angénieux shows off its most accomplished work and at the same time (for our own pleasure) its most cheap !
Its initial focal range is 15-40mm in Super35 switchable to FullFrame (22-60mm T/ 3).
Its zoom factor is 2.7x, its wide constant focal range fixed at T/2 aperture. The minimum focusing distance is impressive : 0.6m, or 2 ft. With a certain weight of 2.12kg it ensures exceptional glass quality. No ramping, minimal distortion: Angénieux definitely warrants its reputation and introduce to us a result that is fully part of the brand's quality tradition. The manufacturer's compromises seem to be the right ones and do not affect the final image.
With its super refined look, it copies its Optimo big sisters, well known from the brand, and offers the operator exemplary ergonomics. This will adapt as much to documentary as to fiction (notched ring / 300 degree of rotation for the focusing ring).
Angénieux strikes hard by offering a very versatile optic as it can be mounted in E, EF or PL (information to be specified if you wish to rent this optic), an asset of mobility essential while the complexity of the optical / sensor / print compatibility is important. So everyone can benefit!
The front diameter is 114mm, therefore equivalent to the Optimo and Optimo Style. Removable ENG handle also available on request from our rental company.
