This zoom optic will suit demanding and experienced operators looking for an aesthetic
appearance and an optimal quality of light treatment. Angénieux offers his most accomplished work and at the same time (for our greatest happiness to all) the most affordable!
Its initial focal range is 30-90mm in Super35, convertible to FullFrame (45-135mm T / 3).
Its zoom factor is 2.7x, its wide constant focal range fixed at T / 2 aperture. The minimum focusing distance is impressive: 0.6m, or 2 ft. With its 2.12kg it weighs its weight but ensures exceptional glass quality. No ramping, minimal distortion: Angénieux definitely does not steal its reputation and presents us with a result that is part of the brand's quality tradition. The manufacturer's compromises seem to be the right ones and do not affect the final image.
With its ultra licked look it copies its Optimo big sisters, well known by the brand, and offers the operator exemplary ergonomics. This will adapt as much to the documentary (ring taken by hand) as to fiction (notched ring / 300 degree of rotation for the focusing ring).
Angénieux strikes hard by offering a very versatile optic because it can be mounted in E, EF or PL (information to be specified if you wish to rent this optic), an asset of mobility essential at the time when the complexity of the optical / sensor / print compatibility is tall.
